The Mets Are Going to the World Series, Car Farts and Dance Parties

John explains the root of the name “Stankees,” his pet name for the New York Yankees. He was also on the loose around town with three of his lady friends (they don’t call him Dr. Love for nothing). Mark busts on John for making yet another group they spoke for cry (happy tears, of course). John discusses his favorite football player and the dilemma he faces now that he’s not on his favorite team. The boys talk about some other stuff they have going on like John’s weekly dance party and The Spreading Happiness Show on the John’s Crazy Socks Facebook page. John talks about his “smooth” dad taking his mom on a date. More impactful businesses are shared, John’s love life, weight loss journey updates, good news and bad jokes (as always). Join us!

Check out the impactful businesses that the boys discussed today:

Doggy Delights by Allison: https://www.doggydelightsbyallison.com

Allison was born with Down syndrome and Tracheoesophogeal Fistula (TEF, which is when the breathing tube and eating tube are not formed correctly).  This impacted her life tremendously. She needed a trach tube to help her breathe for 23 years. At the age of 11, doctors found a laryngeal cleft that was allowing food and drink to go into her lungs. She required a g-tube in her stomach and could not eat or drink by mouth for a 2 year period while she underwent a variety of surgeries and procedures.  Allison's health has always been a major factor in her life. She has surpassed her family's wildest dreams because she is a very determined young woman!

Doggy Delights is a perfect business for Allison because she spends time in the kitchen mixing up her own treat recipes. She knows how important healthy food is for both people and pets. Her treats are sold frozen or freeze dried so no preservatives are needed. Promoting her business and selling the treats gets her out into the community meeting people and their dogs. She is an entrepreneur with Down syndrome, but she just wants you to know her as the best dog treat chef ever!

Purely Patrick: https://purelypatrick.com

Patrick Lewis, a young man with differing abilities, loves to listen to music, spend time outside, sing, swim, and participate in adaptive skiing and paddle boarding.  He loves spending time with his family.  He has so much fun making these products and he hopes you will enjoy them too! His products are made by the use of assistive technology.  He uses a pouring device that is activated by a switch that I control.  He has the help of his mother and 2 job coaches to ensure the measurements of his products are correct. He participates in local craft fairs and farmer's markets.  His "Made in Vermont" products are done so with care and determination to ensure that they are the absolute best experience for his customers.
